Amaraya Foundation, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, hosted a warm and memorable birthday celebration in honour of its April-born members, recognizing their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions to the organisation’s humanitarian mission.
In a thoughtful and symbolic gesture, the President of the Foundation, High Chief Amarachi Kingsley Ogu (Ugwu Mbaise), led the surprise celebration, creating an atmosphere of appreciation and unity among members.
The event was held at The Roots Restaurant, Enugu, shortly after the Foundation’s participation in a national digital conference at The Base Hotel, Enugu.
The intimate gathering featured a ceremonial cake-cutting and a toast delivered by the President in honour of the celebrants.
Among those physically present were the Director of Administration, Mr. Kelechi Onyewuenyi, and the Director of Programs, Dr. Udechukwu Egbuhuzor. Other April-born members, including Dr. Chibuike Brendan, Miss Eucharia Erege, and Mr. Maduka Uwa, were also duly recognized in absentia.
In his remarks, Mr. Onyewuenyi expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the Foundation for the thoughtful initiative, noting that such gestures strengthen unity and morale within the organisation. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Foundation’s vision and sustaining its impact-driven programmes.
Similarly, Dr. Egbuhuzor, who was visibly delighted by the surprise, conveyed his gratitude to the President and the entire Foundation. He pledged renewed dedication to his responsibilities, emphasizing his commitment to driving the Foundation’s strategic goals and expanding its outreach.
The celebration also featured a session of prayers and birthday songs led by Lady Chidimma Nwoke, followed by a lively dance segment in honour of the celebrants, marking a joyful conclusion to the event.
The occasion underscored Amaraya Foundation’s culture of appreciation and camaraderie, reinforcing its commitment not only to community service but also to the well-being and recognition of its members.
