————-Celebrates his elevation as High Chief by his hometown, Lude Ahiara Community
The President of Amaraya Foundation, High Chief Amarachi Kingsley Ogu, has dedicated his newly built palatial residence, christened “Amaraya Villa”, to God in a grand celebration that coincided with festivities marking his elevation to the revered status of High Chief in his hometown of Lude Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise.
The chieftaincy title, Aririerimba I of Lude Autonomous Community, was formally conferred on High Chief Ogu and his wife, Lolo (Barr) Yulanda Añuli Ogu on December 27, 2025, at the Lude Ahiara Community Square in a colourful ceremony attended by traditional rulers, political leaders, clergy, and community stakeholders.
The following day, December 28, the thanksgiving and dedication of Amaraya Villa took place at Umukpo Lude Ahiara amid widespread jubilation.
In a further demonstration of his commitment to faith and community, the philanthropist donated a symbolic “Throne of Grace” to St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church Lude Ahiara, his local parish. The donation was received with gratitude by church leaders and parishioners, who described it as a testament to his enduring devotion to God and service to humanity.
The conferment ceremony drew a large and diverse gathering, including family members, members and partners of the Amaraya Foundation, friends, business associates, political figures, religious leaders, and representatives of traditional institutions from across Mbaise and beyond.
The atmosphere was marked by pomp and cultural splendour, reflecting the significance of the honour bestowed on the celebrant.
Traditional rites and symbolic presentations underscored the community’s confidence in High Chief Ogu’s leadership and philanthropic contributions. Community leaders praised his investments in education, youth empowerment, and social development, describing his elevation as both timely and well-deserved.
The celebration reached its peak during the dedication of Amaraya Villa, a stately residence that now stands as a landmark in Umukpo Lude Ahiara. The event combined spiritual solemnity with festive grandeur. Clergy offered prayers of thanksgiving and consecration, committing the home and its occupants to divine guidance and protection.
High Chief Ogu, also known by the titles Ugwu Mbaise I of Mbaise and Aririerimba I of Lude Ahiara, expressed gratitude to God for what he described as unmerited favour and grace. He thanked his family, community, and associates for their unwavering support over the years, reaffirming his dedication to advancing causes that uplift humanity.
Guests were treated to a vibrant cultural showcase featuring multiple musical bands, dance troupes, and comedy performances that kept spirits high throughout the celebrations. The celebrant, accompanied by his wife and son, danced majestically with friends and well-wishers, symbolizing joy, fulfilment, and communal solidarity.
Refreshment stands were strategically arranged across the venue, offering an abundance of food and drinks to attendees. Many described the hospitality as exceptional, noting that the scale of entertainment and organization reflected both gratitude and generosity.
The conferment of a traditional title and the dedication of a palatial residence signified more than personal milestones. It represented a fusion of faith, culture, philanthropy, and communal identity.
As prayers and goodwill messages poured in, many attendees invoked biblical blessings, expressing hope that the grace upon High Chief Ogu and his household would continue to flourish and overflow for greater service to God and humanity.
The two-day celebration has since become a memorable chapter in the history of Lude Ahiara Autonomous Community — a testament to honour earned, faith professed, and a legacy steadily unfolding.
