Indigenes of Lude Ahiara in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo State, have urged the State Government to disregard fraudulent elements who go about claiming to have renovated Community Primary School Lude Ahiara buildings as the said school structures were single handedly renovated by Amaraya Foundation, founded by Comr. Chief Amarachi Kingsley Ogu, an indigene of the area.
The urge was made by the people of Lude Ahiara in an interview when they visited the school on Sunday.
Speaking, the Traditional Ruler of Lude 2, Ahiara autonomous community, HRH, Eze Cyril Uwaoma, noted that the school structures were single handedly renovated by Amarachi Kingsley Ogu who he described as a patriotic indigene.
According to the Eze, the “Community Primary School Lude Ahiara structures were single handedly renovated by our responsible son, Amarachi Kingsley Ogu. He did it to encourage quality education in the area. He is a revered subject, the feat has whipped out shame on the side of government and the community. Those claiming that they renovated the school structures are criminals, hence I call on the state government to disregard those elements.
In their comments, Chief Peter Onyemauche Ojinere, a community leader and Nze Alozie, the contractor that handled the renovation project, hinted that the renovation happened in 2024, with no other person or indigene making any financial donation to that effect except Amarachi Kingsley Ogu, saying the people were very happy and excited of the humanitarian feat by Amaraya Foundation.
An indigene of Amuzi Mbaise and member of Amaraya Foundation, Dr. Udechukwu Egburuhuzor, affirmed that Amarachi Kingsley Ogu is a loving human being who he added has done a lot of good things for the community and Mbaise nation entirely.
“The school structures were single handedly renovated by him. He encourages quality education. He sponsors mathematics quiz yearly in Mbaise and this is the 5th anniversary of the academic competition. He has built many houses for indigent persons even when he is yet to complete his own house”, Egbuhuozo maintained.
Appreciating the people of Lude Ahiara, relatives, Reverend Fathers and Sisters, friends and well-wishers, members of Amaraya Foundation for showing him deep love and support, the business tycoon, socialite, philanthropist and academic giant, Comr. Chief Amarachi Kingsley Ogu, vowed that he would continue to render selfless service to humanity across board – to help them obliterate poverty, vulnerability and hence reduce crime and insecurity.
Ogu, a pupil of Community Primary School Lude Ahiara, said his aim of rehabilitating the dilapidated school structures was to help the government and the community create a conducive and serene teaching and learning environment for the pupils and teachers.
Ogu said no individual nor government assisted him financially to renovate the buildings, expressing displeasure over the fraudulent claim by some persons of being responsible for the rehabilitation of the structures, advising such dubious elements to repent from doing evil.
Ogu, who was earlier crowned “Ugwumba Mbaise” chieftaincy title by Mbaise Ezes, at HRM, Eze Leo Nwokeocha’s palace, called on the government to urgently come in and rehabilitate the deplorable roads and public structures in Lude Ahiara to enable residents to increase productivity, as well as socialize freely.
“I feel honored of the chieftaincy tittle of “Ugwumba Mbaise” by Mbaise Ezes. I single handedly rehabilitated Community Primary School Lude Ahiara because I schooled here and I have always wanted to give back to the community.
“For 5 years, Amaraya Foundation has been touching lives and more good things are being expected from the humanitarian foundation. I call on the state government to quickly investigate the fraudulent claim by some persons about being the brain behind the renovation of the school buildings. Government should come in and rehabilitate dilapidated roads and public structures in the community”, Ogu said.
