Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. It is my pleasure to welcome you to this unique event. An event that will usher in a new era in the life of our dear sister, Mrs Celine Idigbo. Today, we have a greater reason to prayerfully say “TO GOD BE THE GLORY” We are here today to celebrate a humanitarian effort and a fruit of Christian charity. A kind intervention to save and enhance life by a prolifer. The Amaraya foundation has today given us a reason to smile in a situation that would have elicited sadness and gnashing of teeth.

September 30, 2020 was a sad day for one of our cherished women, a widow, Mrs Celine Idigbo who escaped death by such an unfortunate incident. It was indeed a narrow escape as her little tached dwelling was destroyed by a falling palm tree during a heavy whirlwind, reducing the House to debris. Mrs Celine who was already asleep was woken by the disaster that had torn her house apart without a single bodily injury. The news was thrilling and at the same time, electrifying. Out of shock and phobia, the widow raised alarm and ran away to her maiden home in Umunkpade in Oru Ahiara for shelter. Till today she was being catered for by her aged mother. Da Celine, a trader was rendered homeless.

However, the widow’s homelessness has yielded comfort. Her life has now been given a better meaning through the intervention of AMARAYA FOUNDATION, a non governmental humanitarian organization founded and run by our son and brother, Comrade Amarachi Ogu.
The foundation had gotten awareness of the development and sworn itself to duty so as to have what we behold today as a beautiful edifice. Apart from handing over this house to Mrs Celine, the AMARAYA group has decided to place her on a lifetime monthly stipend of N10,000. That is not all. A bank account will be opened for Mrs Celine Idigbo with an initial deposit of N100,000 as part of her living expenditure.

It is good to recall and note that Amaraya foundation had done a lot in alleviating the sufferings of indigent persons in the society especially the poor widows. We pray God to bless and flourish this foundation’s milk of kindness.

We thank the government and members of APC party structure where our beloved brother belongs to and urge you to always invest in this personality for the service of common good which is the essence of government. We thank the people of Lude and especially the leadership of Olonayanji for their prompt response and concern. May this occasion bring about unimaginable breakthrough in our land.
