As part of its resolve to touch lives, the AMARAYA Foundation has rolled out its scholarship scheme for indigent and less privileged persons who desire to further their professional studies. In a recent gazette release from its secretariat, the Amaraya House, the Director General of the foundation, Mr. Kelechi Oguamanam expressed the foundation’s vision of improving education and breaking the barriers of quality education especially to rural dwellers.
One of the beneficiaries of its recent scholarship scheme is an orphan, Master Gregory Chigaemezu Oguguo, a native of Umuezeala Lude Mbaise who was awarded with the scholarship to study Economics (Education) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The foundation’s resolution to sponsor Master Chigaemezu stems from his humility, intelligence, and his desire to further his education. The outreach unit of the foundation who visited the home of the recipient handed him over the sum of N105,000 to upset his acceptance and school fees. Bursaries and other miscellaneous were as well factored in the award.
Recall that AMARAYA FOUNDATION has been soaked in humanitarian activities since it was shot to spotlight. Pundits have analysed how the founder of the foundation Comrade Amarachi Ogu seems to be acting a script starring his pact with God. This is not far from reality as the foundation has been unveiling support packages to indigent persons through empowerment and medical aid. The recent formation of AMARAYA Football club to harness sporting talents is a new twist in the entire humanitarian mission.
