There is an ongoing effort to diversify the country’s economy and move into the area of agriculture. AMARAYA FOUNDATION is poised to encouraging this effort by supporting rural farmers in local cultivation. It is the foundation’s vision to help improve access to mechanized farming equipment and crops to farmers. There is an emphasis on agricultural products such as yam, cassava, plantain, palm fruit, and also in animal husbandry and poultry. More attention is also being given to palm planting and processing. In this way, there will be a huge oil shift from crude to palm.

We believe that in a country like Nigeria, mechanized food production will increase food access, aid in alleviating poverty, and foster economic growth. The foundation is already partnering and sponsor some agricultural programmes with Mater Farms Limited.
